The 14th consecutive Mega Millions drawing without a winner has the multi-state lottery game getting an early jump on its own March Madness.
There was no winner in the drawing of Tuesday March 13, so the Mega Millions jackpot for Friday will rise to an estimated $200 million. The cash value option will be $145.4 million.
Lottery Post reported that nine players matched the first five numbers without having the Mega Ball to win $250,000, one of them coming from New Jersey.
The winning numbers on Tuesday March 13, 2012 were as follows: 2, 8, 30, 36, 48 and Mega Ball 31.
You can pay extra attention to the Mega Millions jackpot drawing results while they continue to rise with free iPhone apps available for download at the Apple store. Phone Review reports that a Mega Millions and Powerball app will give you a year of results history, lottery website links, and the ability to email results to others.
A Mega Millions results app shows a user results since June 2005 when they swipe left or right on their unit. The app works on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. And Mega Millions Ticket will select random sets of numbers for users to play, and display them on a real-looking ticket.
If that real-looking ticket should happen to win, the Mega Millions website reminds players that you can do a lot with even the $12 million starting jackpot.
The site says $12 million will buy players an education at Princeton for themselves and 363 others, 4.8 million pounds of cranberries, and 545,454 two-pound tins of Salt Water Taffy at Fralinger’s.
